Justin Kimmel, Pastor

Justin grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, which means he is a fan of the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers. Justin received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and his M.S. in Statistics from The University of Akron. After teaching math and statistics for 17 years, most recently at James Madison University, Justin answered the call to ministry and graduated from Liberty University’s School of Divinity in 2016. He started at The Life Church at Brown Memorial as an interim pastor in Fall of 2016 and was installed as pastor in September 2017. He enjoys sports, biking, kayaking and reading in his spare time. Justin emphasizes the grace of God that works in us and gives us a new identity of our righteous standing with God through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He loves to think of The Life Church as “Church without Religion.”
His favorite verses are Ephesians 2: 8-9 and Titus 2: 11-12.
Mike DiCesare (dih-ceasar), Youth Leader

Mike joins us from Steubenville, OH. He graduated with a B.S. from the University of Akron in 2010 and worked as a manager of the Student Wellness and Recreation Center on campus. Mike has a passion for youth which developed when he had the privilege of working with kids at the LeBron James Basketball Camps during summer months in Akron. It is said that Mike has a natural gift of connecting with kids and is often known to be an “encourager.” In his spare time, Mike likes to golf, hunt, hike (anything outdoors really) and watch Netflix. He also loves his dog, “Babygirl” (the miniature pincher pictured).
His favorite verse is John 3:16.
